Game Boy Lee18 October 2011
The Sound nightclub in London’s Leicester Square was the venue for the quarter-finals of the UK’s first official Call of Duty championship, which saw 32 teams of four battle it out for the UK crown. Lee, 35, caused a stir when his team beat game makers Activision early on but they were finally edged out in a tense quarter-final clash.
Lee (pictured right), who also writes for The Sun’s Something for the Weekend games page, said: “I felt we did The Sun proud. We are mainly PlayStation players and had only a week to train on the Xbox format. We turned a few heads when beating Activision.” He recently wrote a world exclusive preview for new game Dead Island. Lee added: “I really enjoy writing for the games page. I want to thank Derek Brown, Nick Francis and Lee Price for their help.”
