BI provides the compelling facts and insights which enable the commercial team to build close relationships with our customers to help maximise revenue. Delivering B2B Marketing and communications to our business audiences is key in driving commercial messages to our customers through creative marketing campaigns and events with PR communications through newsletters and industry related trade magazines.
The Business Analytics (BA) department are a large part of BI, responsible for producing information for use within our business. BA supply sales departments with historic and recent data on the performance of clients and agencies, sectors and titles, which help sales people negotiate during sales discussions.
Additionally BI has an important industry role through representation on the boards of the National Readership Survey (NRS), the Media Research Group (MRG) and the Newspaper Marketing Agency (NMA), and has close working relationships with the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the Institute of Practioners in Advertising (IPA). Often featured in the trade magazines, BI leads the debate on issues which are important to agencies and clients, and is helping to drive the industry agenda.
